Over 100 Men showed up last night to raise money, and hopefully awareness, for their favorite local non-profit.
Guests were wined and dined with beer from War Water Brewery and Murphy’s Inn and food from The Anchor Point Bistro, Neiman’s Market, The Voyageur and Drifters. The night’s activities included a tour of the St. Clair Inn renovation, competitions for longest drive on a golf simulator from Golf Country, and a first-hand look at the Sheriff Department’s drone used for crash reconstruction.
Each man who attended had the opportunity to nominate their favorite cause. More than 35 organizations were nominated, but only five were selected for the vote. Representatives from The Council on Aging, N.A.A.C.P., Taking a Shot at Breast Cancer, Operation Transformation and Blue Water YMCA each had two minutes to give their best pitch to convince the crowd of the worthiness of their cause.
It was a close race, but the YMCA came out on top with the most votes earning them a $10,000 grant!
