What we do
Community Heart & Soul brings residents together to identify and honor the unique character of their town and the emotional connection of the people who live there. The exciting goal of Heart & Soul is to activate residents to take part in shaping their community's future.
How we do it
Stories! Specifically, YOUR story! The stories of the people who live, work, and play in the Yale Area have shaped the community that is today. Through this program, local voices will help steer goals for public spaces and things you wish to see in your downtown and the surrounding community, ensuring that the community's identity and the desires of residents are at the forefront of every project moving forward.
Why we do it
Resources and willingness to work together can result in community good! Through strong partnerships already in place with Yale Public Schools and the City Manager’s office, as well as with residents who love their hometown and are ready to give back, the timing is perfect to embark on the Community Heart & Soul process.
Who is doing it
Residents of the Yale Area (City of Yale, Brockway Township, Grant Township, and Emmett Township). This is a resident-driven community engagement program, and you are welcome to join.
