Join us for a special Women’s Initiative Team Up event! On Wednesday, March 6 you can be part of a night of fun with your friends and competing to give away a grants! We thought we’d have some added fun this year, in addition to our 100+ Women Event that will be held in the Fall.
For this virtual event, you will “Team Up” at a “Host” home. Then enjoy an evening of fun, interactive, virtual philanthropy with friends. The fun, interactive component to the evening will be a scavenger hunt, all from your cell phone or tablet and through an app called “GooseChase.”
Participation options:
- Be an event participant- Register online for $25 per person and join a Team.
- Be an event Host- Host a team of women at your home or other location.
The top 3 teams, based on points earned in the scavenger hunt, will be able to nominate their favorite nonprofit for a grant. Grants of $1,500, $1,000 and $500 will be awarded.
The top 3 teams and their grant winners will be announced on event night.
Virtual Participation Details
- Gather a group of friends – groups of any size.
- Decide who will host and what location you’re meeting at.
- Each person registers online (or email Debbie Sta Cruz at [email protected] and send a check).
- At least one team member downloads the GooseChase app on their cell phone.
- Detailed instructions for the scavenger hunt on GooseChase will be sent via email after you register for the event.
In advance of the event, you will receive detailed instructions via email on how to participate and have a chance to “practice.”
Evening Program
- 6:00 p.m. Gather with your group of friends and get ready for some fun!
- We wouldn’t blame you for wanting to get together earlier to have a beverage & snacks.
- 6:15 p.m. Program kick off via the app- Open GooseChase on your device.
- 6:30 p.m. Let the game begin! Your group will have missions to complete via the Goose Chase app. Sometimes you’ll be submitting a photo or video, while other times you’ll be solving a puzzle or riddle.
- 7:30 p.m. Deadline for completing your missions.
- 7:45 p.m. Announce the top 3 teams, Announce the grant award winners.
*The entire event will be hosted from the GooseChase app on your iphone, iPad or Android.
- Join the Game via the GooseChase app at 6:30 p.m. on event night
- Complete Missions (you will not have to leave your host location)
- Watch Opponents (in the app)
- Win your opportunity to give a $1,500, $1,000 or $500 grant
