The Rotary Club of Marysville and Marysville Community Fund are teaming up to support their hometown.

The Rotary Club of Marysville recently started a fund with the Community Foundation to help expand their giving opportunities and impact. Part of expanding their opportunities to give comes by working closely with the Marysville Community Fund. Together, both groups hope to increase their local impact and raise awareness for hometown giving.

Marysville Rotary Club, President, Ryan Welser, said, “This is our club’s opportunity to take action and help create lasting change in our community. Not only are our philanthropic dollars going to grow, we are looking forward to teaming up with the Marysville Community Fund to increase our granting opportunities and impact on local projects.”

The club and community fund are very much alike in attracting committed leaders and donors who share a common passion for the future of the place they call home. Together they will be able to identify emerging charitable needs in Marysville, provide community leadership and be involved in efforts to encourage charitable giving among residents.

“Many people do not realize the great resource and opportunity we have in our community fund let alone the opportunities for grants through rotary. Working with the community foundation, we will be able to create more awareness and be more impactful,” said Tammy Czachowski, Marysville Community Fund Committee Member and Rotarian.

Over the years, the Rotary Club of Marysville has supported Marysville Public Schools, Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, Special Dreams Farms, RESA, Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate Polio, Blue Water Hospice, Imagination Library, Seminar for Tomorrow’s Leaders, Marysville Little League, Marysville Parks and Recreation, and Clean Water projects across the globe. The Marysville Community Fund has granted to Marysville schools, athletics, parks and waterfront, as well as Little League. This is homegrown philanthropy and it will make a difference that will continue far into the future.

The Rotary Club of Marysville began in 1971 and focuses on service above self. The club meets weekly on Tuesdays at 12:05 p.m. at Alexander’s Premier Banquet Center.
The Marysville Community Fund is a permanently endowed fund that will support special projects, programs and organizations in Marysville for generations to come. A committee of local residents decides the best charitable uses for funds.

The Community Foundation of St. Clair County is the thumbcoast’s largest and oldest grantmaking institution.  It administers more than 200 endowment and project funds with total assets under management of $75 million.
