Tim Lelito, a former NFL offensive lineman and St. Clair County native, aims to empower youth by promoting skill development, sportsmanship, and self-growth through sports. Originally from Fowlerville, Tim moved to St. Clair after ninth grade and played for the St. Clair Saints during his junior and senior years, earning All-Area, All-Conference, and All-Metro East honors both years. Through Lelito’s Legacy Fund, he seeks to better the lives of children facing adversities greater than they can overcome on their own through sports.
As an Undrafted Free Agent, Tim had a lot to prove. After only being guaranteed a tryout, he made it through 70 free agents and rookies, ultimately being one of the 20 players remaining at the end of Rookie Mini Camp. Then, once again, at the start of Training Camp, he fought his way through cuts to secure a spot on the 53-man roster.
Tim started two games in 2013 for the New Orleans Saints, including his first NFL start against the Arizona Cardinals. In his second season with the Saints, he continued to make an impact, starting two more games and leaving it all on the field for his team. Tim’s dedication to the sport and his team is truly remarkable.
This fund will be overseen by our Grants Committee and is designed to help youth overcome obstacles that may prevent them from participating in sports, including financial assistance for fees, equipment, and support for programs that promote skill development, sportsmanship, and positive self-growth through sports.
Support the vision of Lelito’s Legacy Fund by donating today and help promote skill development, sportsmanship, and positive self-growth for youth through sports.
