The College Access Endowment Fund was created as a part of the Michigan College Access Challenge Grant. The Community Foundation’s college access efforts began ramping up back in 2007 when a group of partners and donors came together to create KnowHow2Go, our local college access network (LCAN).
Today, a wide range of partners including RESA, our K – 12 school districts, donors and the Community Foundation provide support and resources to young people exploring their post-secondary plans.
Together we are committed to building a college-going culture and dramatically increasing college readiness, participation and completion rates within our community. Collectively, we have helped over 30,000 local students find their path to post-secondary education, and increased the number of students attending college after high school.
