The Community Foundation of St. Clair County proudly announces the return of The Big Give—an exciting 24-hour giving rally designed to celebrate local philanthropy and empower the community to support the nonprofits they love. On May 14, over 60 nonprofits will come together for this special day of generosity.
“The 2021 Big Give brought nonprofits together and raised over $700,000 in just 24 hours,” said Community Foundation Former Board Chair Hale Walker. “In total, the past five giving days have generated more than $2.2 million for local organizations. This year, we hope to make an even bigger impact.”
The Big Give offers both online and in-person giving opportunities. Donations can be made online from 12 a.m. to midnight EST at www.thebiggivescc.com or in person at the Community Foundation (500 Water St., Port Huron). To amplify contributions, participating nonprofits will receive “bonus pool” funds at the end of the event, increasing the impact of every dollar donated.
This incredible opportunity is made possible by generous supporters, including the Women’s Initiative, St. Clair Endowment Funds, The Knowlton Foundation Fund, Redmond Family Fund, and the James C. Acheson Foundation. Their commitment ensures that local nonprofits receive additional funding beyond direct donations.

The Big Give supports a wide range of causes, from emergency response and education to arts, culture, animal welfare, veteran services, senior care, and environmental initiatives. Donors can contribute directly to their favorite nonprofit on the event website May 14. A full list of participating nonprofits is also listed on the event website.
“The Big Give is a powerful way to support multiple charities in one place, on one special day,” said Patti Manley, Chairperson of the Community Foundation. “It’s a simple and exciting way to give back, with the added bonus of multiplying your impact through various prize pools and matching funds. Giving is easy—just follow your heart on May 14 and support the causes that matter most to you.”
Beyond fundraising, The Big Give raises awareness of the incredible work being done by local nonprofits and fosters a strong sense of community support. It’s a testament to the power of collective giving and the impact we can achieve when we come together.
