The Community Foundation invites you to join us for the first ever Minority Philanthropy Initiative (MPI) giving circle event! On Thursday, October 28th community members will have the opportunity to pool resources and help others on a larger scale.
This multi-cultural event will focus on gathering more than 100 diverse individuals and give away $10,000. At registration, guests will nominate their favorite local nonprofit organization. There will be a random draw of three organizations from the top ten organizations receiving 10 nominations or more. Each of the three organizations from the random draw will present a three minute pitch about their organization. Attendees will then anonymously vote for one of the three organizations. The organization receiving the most votes will receive $5,000. Second and third place will receive $3,000 and $2,000 respectively.
