As Marysville commemorates its 100-year milestone, the Marysville Community Fund represents the city’s strength, kindness, and commitment to progress. Established nine years ago with the goal of nurturing enduring charitable initiatives within the city, the fund has become a cornerstone of local support.
To celebrate that kindness and charitable spirit, the Marysville Committee will be hosting a grant giveaway on Thursday, Aug. 29 during a home football game at Marysville High School. Grants totaling $25,000 will be awarded.
Nonprofits, schools, clubs, churches and community groups that are based in or support the Marysville community are encouraged to apply. Application deadline is July 28.
The fund began with a generous $25,000 donation from DTE Energy. The generosity of other community partners like SMR, Wells Fargo Advisors, Marysville Funeral Home, SEMCO Energy, and other community leaders and residents have helped to grow the fund. Their donations have laid a solid foundation for supporting programs, projects, and organizations that benefit Marysville.
Managed by the Community Foundation of St. Clair County and overseen by a committee of city residents, the fund ensures transparency and accountability in its operations, fostering trust within the community.
Residents and companies who would like to support their hometown are encouraged to give to this fund. Every gift, regardless of size, contributes to the collective effort of enhancing Marysville’s well-being and ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.
